Third application round finished

We are in the process of finalizing the third round for new applications to IDEA Foundation. IDEA Foundation will support good business ideas with start-up capital to young entrepreneurs who have a great business idea they want to develop.

The deadline was past due by the end of February, but since our website has been out of order for a while we are open for late arrivals through out the week.

Arriving Friday evening from Copenhagen, Denmark we were delighted to welcome Monica and Joseph in Oslo. It became a very productive and useful week-end. We managed to outline the next steps for idea Foundation as well as visiting relevant Norwegian institutions like Fredskorpset and The Norwegian Business School BI.

Strathmore University and Business School will be the first institution to offer start up funds for students and graduates. The first discussions of the idea started in January 2011 so things have moved fast and we are delighted that we can now go live and start to communicate with the student community. The Foundation visited Strathmore in April and was warmly received by Joseph Sevilla, Emmanuel Kweyu and Luis Borallo.

The mission for idea Foundation is to fund great ideas and make them into sustainable business. The aim is to support the development of more business competence and the ability to create enduring entrepreneurship. The projects funded shall potentially create value and employment to the local community and hence create prosperity and inspiration to others.
